Jul. 17th, 2009 05:24 pmAny of you familiar with Stevia? It's a plant, and can be used as a sugar substitute (not in Austria yet because they're still testing it, so officially no one's allowed to sell it to you).
My mother has been diagnosed with diabetes, along with her heart condition, and Stevia is supposed to be good for both (regulates blood pressure as well as the sugar level in your blood), and it has no calories at all. So, I've been wondering whether any of you have had experience with it?
(You can even grow it in your own garden, apparently.)
