Parliament elections on Sunday

... and our secretary of justice has left her party. I don't wonder about that, I do wonder about why she entered that party in the first place. But the Chancellor (who, I hope, won't be Chancellor any more after those elections) has assured her that as long as he is chancellor she'll keep her job. As will our secretary of education. Who, I have to add, is about as competent as my dog. Less competent, I'd say.

My opinion is that a man who joins forces with a party that hadn't even been elected into Parliament just to avoid new elections (he knew he'd lose them) doesn't deserve to be Chancellor any more. The bad luck is that there are so many stupid people in Austria. :(

A student in my 3rd stream English class today:

"Miss, how come the best English teacher in our school gets to teach 3rd stream?"

Me: "3rd stream groups need a good teacher. And anyway, who says I'm the best English teacher in our school?"

Student: "I do."

Wow, thanks, but somehow I don't really think he was sincere. ;-)
