Jul. 24th, 2006 11:31 amI went to my flat yesterday to water the flowers etc. The drive there was fine, though it was raining and when I overtook a lorry on the motorway it splashed lots of water on my windscreen and I couldn't see anything ... anyway, nothing happened.
Going back here was another matter though. I drove to the motorway, and saw there was a traffic jam so I decided to take another road. Unfortunately, there was a traffic jam there too because so many ppl left the motorway to escape the traffic jam there. *snort* It took me 2 hours to drive home instead of 1. Torture, considering the temperatures at the moment (no air condition in my car).
I'll be off to Vienna on Thursday, to spend a long weekend with a friend. Looking forward to it - though sightseeing in that heat won't be too much fun I'm afraid. We'll escape the city for one day, though, and look at the excavations at Carnuntum (the place Emperor Marcus Aurelius of Gladiator fame lived for a couple of years).
