Just read an online article re the next PISA test - our students are now expected to practise for the next test, so Austria gets better results. That's not what annoys me though.
What does annoy me are some of the comments posted in reply to the article - one in particular.
"Our secondary schools are just bad - or why else were their results the worst?"
Well, Mr (or Ms) Know-It-All - the PISA test focuses on students at the age of sixteen. Secondary school in Austria goes from 10 to 14. So why do you think a 16-year-old secondary student doesn't get a good result?
